Econship makes waves at CTL BHP Expo
On 27th and 28th February 2020, Econship had the privilege of participating in the 12th Edition of Exim India’s Mega Cargo Show - CTL BHP Expo 2020. To showcase our company, the Exim team provided us with a stall area of 12 square meters. We built our stall with the help of Mr Manoj from Acme Creation, who did a stellar job of optimizing the limited space and making it attractive.
This year, the theme of our stall was technology, with a focus on our 12 online processes. Our displayed points definitely fuelled the interest of customers who visited our stall, with many curious about what we mean by ‘online processes’.
Our team explained that under Econship, all shipper processes are automated via 12 online processes. This not only speeds up waiting times, but the minimal human intervention also lets the shipper export cargo, hassle free.
To further highlight our unique services, we installed a screen which played snapshots of our online process. Many visitors found these explainer snapshots easy to comprehend and appreciated our efforts to simplify the technical information.
Additionally, the event served as a launch pad for our mascot “Bob” - the container. Bob roamed the exhibition grounds and interacted with both customers and fellow exhibitors— thereby drawing a lot of attention to Econship. In fact, Bob became the venue’s centre of attraction and a ‘selfie point’ for many.
Our stall experienced high footfall from exhibitors on both days, leading to an impressive turnover. Our sales team was constantly busy attending to visitors and a few of them even missed their breaks in the rush. On Day 2 of the expo, Capt. PS. Rath graced the event with his presence and visited our stall. He was in attendance as a panellist for the sixth technical session; where discussions were conducted on how technology is impacting and transforming the shipping industry.
CTL BHP Expo 2020 gave us an incredible experience; as well as a great deal of publicity. This exposure to the shipping fraternity, coupled with our team’s efforts at the event have resulted in many new customers for Econship. On 3rd March, just three days after the event, we received our first booking. Thereafter, the customers have continued to knock on our doors for more and more containers.
Altogether it was a wonderful experience and we commend Exim India for organising such a fruitful event. We look forward to participating in CTL BHP 2022.
